This is my mom’s recipe,she makes it for Shonty,as he is a big fan of Bhendi.
200 gms Bhendi (Okra),washed,wiped dry.
1 tbsp Dhana-jeera powder.(Corriander seeds and cumin seeds powder)
1 tsp Red chilli powder.
1/2 tsp Chat masala.
1/4 tsp Haldi powder ( turmeric powder)
2 tbsp Besan.
Salt to taste.
4 tbsp Oil.
Cut the stalk of each okra and make lengthwise slit.
Mix all the remaining ingredients except besan and oil.
Stuff this mixture in the slit of bhendis,sprinkle remaining mixture on the bhendis.
Now sprinkle besan on it and mix well.
Heat a griddle,add 2 tbsp oil.
When the oil heatens up,arrange bhendis on the griddle.
Cook till bhendis turn crisp,flip over and cook on other side.
Remove on tissue paper.
Serve hot as a side dish or starter.
