Methi Makai Paratha


1/2 cup fresh Fenugreek leaves,chopped.

1/2 cup Corn kernels,boiled and crushed.

1 small Onion chopped.

1 Potato,boiled and mashed.

2 Green Chillies finely chopped.

2 tbsp chopped Corriander leaves.

1 tsp Carom seeds(Ajwain).

1 tbsp Lemon juice.

2 cups Wheat flour.

Salt to taste.


Mix the wheat flour and salt with enough water into a soft dough.

Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a kadai,add chopped onions,corn and fenugreek leaves,saute for a few minutes.Remove in a plate and spread out to cool.

Combine the above mixture with mashed potatoes,corriander leaves,green chillies,carom seeds,lemon juice and salt,Mix well.

Divide stuffing and Dough in 8 equal portions.

Roll out each portion of dough into  a small puri,place a portion of stuffing in the centre,gather the edges together and roll into a ball.

Roll out the ball into a five inch round paratha.

Heat a non stick griddle and cook paratha from both the sides till light golden specks appear.Brush the top with a little ghee.

Serve hot with tomato ketchup or pickle of your choice.
