Shevai Sheera.

This is an easy to make sweet dish which can be made in a jiffy with basic ingredients.

In this recipe I have used water and jaggery,instead milk and sugar can also be used.though you can also cook seviyan with water. I have used pre roasted thin vermicelli for this sheera and then further fried in ghee for even browning.

Ingredients:

1 cup thin Shevai.

1 cup boiling hot water.

1/2 cup Jaggery grated.

1 tbsp Ghee.

pinch of Salt.

1/4 tsp Jaiphal (nutmeg) powder.

Chopped mixed Dry Fruits,cashew,almonds,etc.

Method:

Heat ghee in a non stick pan.Add chopped nuts,saute for 30 seconds.

Add shevai,roast till it turns light brown,add salt and mix well.

IMG_20200805_132534Add boiling hot water,cover and cook till water dries up completely.

IMG_20200805_132721Add grated jaggery,mix well,cover and cook till jagerry melts up and mixes well with shevai.

Switch off the gas and add nutmeg powder.Mix well.

Serve hot.
