Baked Tortillas with Cheese Sauce


This is a quick and easy-to-make recipe. These tortillas are baked and made  from a blend of whole wheat flour and maize flour instead of the traditional ones which are made from refined flour.


1 cup Makai ka aata.

1/2 cup Whole wheat flour.

1/2 tsp Chilli powder.

1/2 tsp Ajwain.

Salt to taste.

Plain flour for dusting.


Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and knead into a soft dough using hot water.


Divide the dough into 6 equal portions.

Roll out each portion into a thin circle of 7″ diameter using flour generously


Lightly cook tortillas on a non stick pan.


Cut each tortilla into 6 triangular pieces.


Place the tortilla pieces in a single layer on a non-stick baking tray.

Bake at 190°Cfor 7 to 8 minuteor until the tortilla chips are crisp and lightly browned.


Serve with cheese-sauce.
