Pita Sandwich

Pita is used to scoop sauces or dips such as hummus, and to wrap kebabs or falafel in the manner of sandwiches. Most pita are baked at high temperatures (450 °F or 232 °C), causing the flattened rounds of dough to puff up dramatically. When removed from the oven, the layers of baked dough remain separated inside the deflated pita, which allows the bread to be opened into pockets, creating a space for use in various dishes.

4 Pita Bread.

2 cups Hummus.(.http://wp.me/p2osBx-mJ)

12 to 15 Falafel (.http://wp.me/s2osBx-falafel)

Slices of cucumber and Tomatoes.

Finely shredded Lettuce leaves.

2 tsp Olive Oil.

Cut each pita bread into two and warm the halves on a hot griddle using little olive oil, this will help open the pockets.

Keep all the ingredients handy.

Fill each pita bread half with little hummus, some tomato and cuccumber slices and shredded lettuce, a few falafels and a spoonful of the dressing on top.

Repeat for the remaining pita bread halves and other ingredients to make some more pita sandwiches.
