Chocochips & Oats Cookies

Chocochip cookies are hit with everyone,here we have made it more healthy by adding Oats.

This recipe is given to me by my friend Deepti Prabhu.

Thanks Deepti for lip smacking delicious cookies.

Ingredients:

1 cup Butter

3/4 cup Brown Sugar

3/4 cup Plain Sugar

2 1/2 cup Flour(maida)

1/2  cup Oats.

1/4 cup chopped Walnuts

1/4 cup Choco chips

2 eggs

1tsp Baking powder

1tsp Vanilla essence.

Method.

Sieve together flour and baking powder thrice.Mix in oats,walnut and chocochips.

Cream butter and sugar with electric blender till it becomes light and fluffy.

Add egg one at a time,continue beating.

Add essence .

Mix in flour mixture.Form a dough

Cover in cling film and refrigerate for 15 mins.

Start Preheating oven.

Remove mixture from fridge and make small balls out of it,flatten it with palm to form cookies.

Place in a grease tray and bake at 180 degrees celsius for 20 mins.

Remove on cooling rack.

Once cooled store in air tight container.

Coke Float

This drink is a favourite of kids,at times mine also…..easy to make simple recipe.

Ingredients:

1/2 litre Coke/Pepsi/Thumps up

2 scoops Vanilla Ice cream.

1/2 cup Crushed Ice.

Method:

In a nice tall glass put ice,pour  Coke/Pepsi/Thumps up.

Top up with 2 scoops of Vanilla ice cream.

Serve immediately with a straw and a spoon.

Cheese Corn Balls

Corn is an all-time favourite with kids,so is cheese. When  these two come together in the form of a crunchy yet soft-centered deep-fried dish,we have a block buster.

Ingredients:

2 cups boiled ,peeled and mashed Potatoes.

3/4 cup boiled sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane) crushed coarsely

1/2 cup finely chopped Capsicum.

1 cup grated Cheese

4 tbsp plain flour (maida)

1 tbsp chopped Corriander leaves.

1 tsp chopped Green Chillies

1 cup bread crumbs

1/2 tsp Black Pepper powder.

salt to taste

Oil for deep frying.

Method:

Mix together boiled potatoes,corn,capsicum,coriander leaves,cheese,green chilies, salt and pepper powder and mix well.

Divide the mixture into 16 equal portions and shape them into even sized balls.

Mix ¼ cup of flour with water to make a thin paste. Dip the corn balls into the paste.

Roll into the breadcrumbs in such a way that they coat the corn balls completely.

Chill for 20 minutes. Keep aside.

Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep-fry the balls on very slow flame till they are golden brown.

Drain on absorbent paper and serve immediately.
